Originally built in the 1920s, the Jones Beach East Bathhouse had been closed since 2009 before undergoing an extensive renovation that seamlessly blends state of the art technology with its historic character.
Norberto Construction was contracted to participate in this landmark project which includes a 9,500 square foot zero entry swimming pool with a capacity of 245,000 gallons. The pool was constructed using the modular pool system by Myrtha Pools, an Italian-engineered pool technology.
The facility also features three recirculating splash pads and three interactive shower islands. The aquatic play features were provided by Waterplay, while the safety surfacing was provided by Life Floor.
Supporting the facility is a state of the art mechanical room equipped with regenerative media filtration by Filtrex and an advanced water treatment system that includes ultraviolet disinfection.
